teaser : sora kasugano by midori kanda

recently, +ophanium's favorite layer midori-san has unveiled two lovely samples from her latest cosplay-get; this time featuring one of fall's favorite imouto sora kasugano from yosuga no sora. that said however, by the time we had this entry posted there wasn't much images published as of yet for us to share and write more in regard of this seemingly well done sora-get, and thus, all we can do now is wait for the rest to be made available, probably soon enough... hopefully :3

in the meantime, a few posts will be ready a bit later before we close our november edition in just a few more hours. feel free to stay tune as always lol :D

FLAWLESS KAGAMIN IS FLAWLESS

again with another gloriously executed tsundere-get by midori-san, it is just as if she's specifically born to fulfill our dreams of seeing these tsunderes being ported to reality with much of the awesomeness intact. and that, which is why she currently is one of the best, and among the most celebrated japanese cosplayer out there indeed. that said, just about everything of her kagamin-get were [ very ] well replicated; her costume, her looks right down to her poses and facial expression - everything is SO KAGAMIN if i must say so myself.

i, for one particularly favor the hue she had chosen for her wig [ as with her other version of kagamin-get ]. there has been a lot of attempt by layers to emulate the correct shade of violet for kagami's hair, and this one here by far are among those which has been successful in doing so. three cheers to our midori-san exactly just for that \o/

so far there has only been two kuroko-get which received our greatest approval to date; this splendid one by the lovely ai toujou-san, and the one you are currently seeing in this very post here; both of these layers' kuroko-get were accurately reproduced to our highest acclaim [ with our chief editor zange being the one with the most enthusiasm over these ], retaining very close enough image [ and criteria ] of the actual character in mention.

however, one crucial set of accessory were missing here, and they're the notable pair of needle straps [ ? personally i dunno what to refer them as ] worn beneath kuroko's skirt for the entire time she's onscreen within the actual medium[s]. well you may not quite notice their absent from these images here but through our inspection over the rest of the images [ from the 3 to 4 outdoor shoot sets available ] said accessory were indeed nowhere to be seen, though it wasn't that big of a deal for us since it's gonna end up being concealed by the skirt anyway |3

still, a glorious kuroko-get will remain glorious, and for this we're more than content and grateful enough, oh yes we do :3

MY MIDORI-SAN CAN'T BE THIS GLORIOUSLY SEXY

[ edit ] i just found out via one of our regular reader that the above character was actually named darth wooser; an original character designed by usa-san of supercell to represent 'an unidentified monster living on twitter timeline' - according to a post made by takehiro-san at his blog. and as i have pointed here before, the above character seemingly derived its design from a rabbit, and were given quite an elaborately sexy touch even i myself couldn't resist the many fanarts made for it :3

okay so it may look uberly simple in design, but one thing that must not entirely be ignored for sure is the character's full out emphasize on service which has so fully brought forth the explosive sexiness of midori-san to its fullest potential. and the photog's [ hiro-san ] choice of contrasting element between her dark attire and the light, minimalist setting as well helps in further developing a sense of chic and sensuality for the character.

EXTRA HELPING OF SERVICE, AND TWICE MORE RANDOMNESS

mmm to be honest, there is nothing much for me to say in regard to this extra series here, just your usual extra episodes done in the peculiar j.c. staff fashion [ the shana-tan / to aru kagaku no railgun mmr series to be specific ]; meaning, total randomness. so if you think the parent series itself is random enough then wait until you see these specials, of which from the chibified jan-ken-pon skits [ with suggestive service shots cutting in after a loser is declared ] down to nozomi's outrageous dream reminiscing of a mob drama, everything is so much random albeit some of the skits [ the jan-ken-pon and chise's ESP scenes most especially ] were carried on to the next episodes, providing some sort of ongoing continuity between these shorts.

these extra episodes however are not without any entertainment value of course, for fans of the parent series most especially. the usual antics of the three main female characters were firmly retained [ some extras tend to focus on experimenting with alternate personalities for its leading characters, see the shana-tan series for example ] and so you won't be feeling any stranger here at all. that said, the primary highlight of course went straight down to fumino's classic 2回死ぬ-get [ her usual tsuntsun retortions, as seen in the screenshot below for visual example ] -for me that is-; revisited more than twice with poor takumi as always were at the pitiful [ yet envious ] end. that, and any available random scenes with nozomi in it.

as a fan of the series, it is my utmost obligation to at least mention this nice compilation of extras here. but still, this is a series of special non-canonical bonuses with entertaining merits of its own, and might as well serve as a glorious dessert to the main series should you are in need of a quick look back at mayoi neko overrun ! :3

mmm, cute isn't she ? now that's shirayuki himeno-san for you^^. anyway, fabulous kula diamond-get is fabulous, and what's more, backed with such a befitting setting [ and those lighting are such killers ! ] like this there can be no other word for us to jot down here aside from 'glorious'. yeap, such a magnificently glorious get it is, indeed^^

so moving off the sea of praises, if you've seen an earlier post we made of this kula-get of her a year back you'll notice that the above costume is the same as the one seen here, not much change nor amendment has been made so if you are in need of a much proper look over her costume [ in its proper ] then you may as well proceed there. then again, probably due to the mentioned lighting as well as the affecting hue of the setting, the costume here in this images looks kinda bit more elaborate compared to that of the post before.

i greatly believe that we needn't say much on this one here, as it is very much apparent just how glorious midori-san take on miku was, judging from these images alone of course. that said, much of our critical praise goes to her choice of material and fabrics for the costume [ including the right hue for her wig, contacts and eyebrows ] and the way they are executed / constructed, her overall facial expression as well as her poses which helps in elevating both the adorably cute and sexy factor of both hers and the character's to the audience.

oh, but there's one thing which caught our attention though; her arm pieces could've been made to look more firm and resilient [ umm, how do we say this ] through the use of a more sturdy fabric or by inserting thin cards in between two pieces of cloth sewn together :3 we meant to mention this as those arm pieces - from how they seem in the original character design - are supposedly to look 'hard' enough as if they were made of some kind of flexible polymer-based material so to support what seems to be an electronic interface :3

MY MIDORI-SAN CAN'T BE THIS... WAIT-

a mild hit-or-miss kiririn-get by midori-san. okay so while it still is good from most aspect thus far [ her costume, most apparently ] still at times it does seem as if her looks didn't really fit well with the character; probably since kirino is a somewhat difficult character to tackle in cosplay, especially given her character design itself; most specifically the exact teen-ish kind of look required to perfectly emulate her [ kirino ] young built and visage; quoting our close associate eichisama : 'not imouto enough'.

above paragraph aside, midori-san's kiririn-get still is a remarkable effort for me to note after witnessing a number other kiririn-get by different other layers which didn't really made it this far to be frank with [ and trust me, there isn't much better ones yet by others at this point of time, but maybe there will be some, probably just a little bit later^^ ]

[ *edit ] on a second thought, i've re-evaluated this kiririn-get of midori-san and proceeded with adding another 1/2 point to the score. though it may not hit you upon the first glimpse, but once you gave this oreimo-get a few better look you'll notice that this one almost [ if not entirely ] hit all the right spot over the character, save for the youthful look as mentioned prior, of course^^ and besides, midori-san, as always, has gotten the tsundere look right for this kiririn-get of her as well, and that is more than crucial enough to earn her additional point for this one too :3

[ cosplay ] himeno shirayuki : pamela ibis

just recently i've picked up one of the games from the atelier series [ mine is 'atelier iris 3 : grand phantasm' ] primarily out of curiosity and most of all, the very much attractive character design. and it was from this game that i realized over the origin of the character 'pamela ibis', of whose name was tagged on one of the very much adorable cosplay set by himeno-san i have in collection [ which is, the images featured in this post here of course ]

by the look of the images above, there isn't much for me to say over this highly adorable pamela ibis-get of her; well frankly speaking i have yet to come across the character in-game [ still in chapter 1 ], not to mention there seems to be a number of pamela ibis variants within the atelier [ +mana khemia ] universe alone. that said however, this still is a cute and adorable cosplay even if i am yet to see how close this one were to the original design, and knowing by the layer's reputation alone it is safe to assume that she did it well yet again :3
