TOMOYO > EVERY OTHER CHARACTER IN CLANNAD

okay, seems like everybody's happy wif the ova [ and so do i ], as seen from the widely positive reaction the ova get from various sauces such as i-net forums and the anime blogging community respectively.

this single episode ova further elaborates on tomoyo's arc from where it had left in the main tv series, emphasizing more towards the conflict both tomoya and tomoyo had on their relationship upon tomoyo's promotion into the student council.

tomoyo's admittance into the higher rank however requires a toll [ a staple plot drive in most romantic flick ], of which she had to sacrifice tomoya [ though she were reluctant to do so, until tomoya himself took the unlikely iniciative ], being that any further relationship between the two [ a student council president dating an infamous delinquent were regarded as an unlikely sight within the school ] not only brings bad image and hard times upon herself and her one and only goal [ to conserve the sakura trees ] as it as well puts up a gap / distance between herself and tomoya, slowly separating both their times together with tomoyo's hectic schedule. as the story progresses beyond the couple's untimely break, tomoya himself began to felt that he no longer could chase tomoyo as she flew beyond the wall he thought he could never cross, until tomoyo returns and broke the gap between them, reuniting the two back together under the falling snow.

out of all possible coupling in clannad i've began to think that tomoya x tomoyo seems to be the best and the cutest >///> [ seconded by tomoya x kotomi and tomoya x nagisa ] especially during the brief morning scene prior to the OP. tomoyo's reaction toward tomoya's staple cruel joke somewhat sent a great tremor down my moe-meter enough to get me rolling on the flowerbed of happiness lol.

the story is sweet, and paired wif such a good execution [ as i've always been expecting from kyoani ] +awesome direction helps in turning this one into another gem that should be treasured by many fans and newbies [ into animes ] alike. i really does like how the story was written despite the exclusion of the entire key female casts [ no kotomi orz ] as well as the ongoing comedy between tomoya and sunohara is just as nice as how they always were and it is safe to say that i really does enjoy the chemistry between the two [ not in a yaoi sense, gosh ]. the drama is very engaging throughout the run as it holds you down on your seat waiting for the next set of scene to unfoil.



as usual, the BGM shouldn't be taken lightly [ well the ova borrows the entire catalogue from its parent series ] as the composer excels in summing up all the mood and drama with the greatness of the featured compositions, providing a light, heart warming atmosphere as the story unfold itself from the beginning until the very end. +the IN as well helps in elevating the mood seen in the final scene when the two were reunited back together. as i concluded my run over the ova i swiftly went lurking for it on the net upon realizing that i am yet to own the track within my collection :3

BEST TOMOYO COSPLAY EVAR.

my utmost respect for ponko-san in regard to her [ near ] flawless portrayal of my beloved tomoyo sakagami from the clannad fame, and when i write flawless [ in her case ] i meant for it to be in the divine scale. and besides, i don't think renowned pro layers such as kipi nor arisa-san could ever reach this close if they were to give tomoyo a try. also, to make things more awesome, the captured weather in the background helps in squeezing thrice more charm out of the character since i personally find tomoyo's character to be well related with winter.

overview : one of my fave suzuharu dojin to date focusing on the awesome tsuruya-san >///> and her 'possible' affection towards kyon [ as hinted to her by mikuru the great ], this dojin here emotionally dissects tsuruya's thoughts, opinions and feelings against her relationship wif kyon and the man in general. a nice but brief read if i must note.

threat level : definitely safe for public consuming.

overview : based on tsukihime [ well, it's mostly on akiha ] this dojin focused on an alternate event on which the aristocratic akiha got transformed by one of kohaku's usual [ as in the dojin / fanfic culture ] potion whatever into a somewhat reverted mentality of a 4 years old's, striking a number of awesome moe moments and huge headaches for shiki lol.

threat level : is safe. feel free to even read it wif your step sisters for added combo-

i never was a big fan of mecha to begin wif, however the past two years has somewhat helped in establishing my interest into the genre wifout me even realizing it, beginning wif obscure titles such as jinki : extend, soukou no strain and kyoushiro to towa no sora to the awesome, mind-blowing tengen toppa gurren lagann [ yet i never went for any gundam titles yet aside from the wing movie T^T ]

sky girls chronicles the emotional journey of three young girls who were enlisted into the sonic diver program run by the military, given that the battle frames can only be operated by selected young girls with specific profile / criteria [ +the world itself has lost most of its adult military might and resources thanks to the previous decisive war wif a synthetic lifeform known only as WORM ], and among these 3 [ later on they became 4 ] is a heir to a martial art dojo named otoha sakurano, who herself is infamous within the program for her 'unspecified' criteria. the program first begin as a series of weapon testing exercises with the true nature of the program being kept hidden from the girls until 'a certain event' in the west europe reshaped the girls' destinies, force-adapting them from their innocent lives [ save for eika ] into the brutallistic battlefield life they were about to engage later.

the series does not offer anything groundbreaking nor of epic proportion [ as gurren lagann did ] yet it was a fun ride while it lasted, though mecha fans might be slightly / uberly disappointed to learn that the series prone to focus more on personal, emotional battle rather than the staple epic crash and burn mecha battles as well as there's tons of dialogues thrown here and there in contrast to hot-blooded action :3 also if ye're looking for any gar-fested action then fret not, you won't find any unless you are content enough wif the mild hot-head moments from otoha :3

the entire animation is quite notable for its fluidity [ as i always expected from j.c. staff ], linear Q consistency as most of the battle scenes were nicely animated wif sleek CGs incorporated from time to time. +the art is quite a nice one eventhough i'm really in for kouhaku kuroboshi-sensei's style better. also the series should also be praised for its good [ if not great ] character development [ most notably on otoha sakurano, karen sonomiya and the photog-cook guy ] which helps in expanding the characters of some of the charas throughout the series, for example eika who had grown much from a stuck up, introvert[?]-princess strereotype into a much more friendlier attitude.

not much can be said from the accompanying music, however the OP [ virgin high by mell ] did manage to score a hit [ as expected from i've sound ] within my winamp playlist despite its hard to decipher engrish lyrics, just as expected from those peeps in i've sound :3

overview : based on fate/stay night, this dojin elaborates on an alternate event in which instead of summoning shirou as her servant, rin accidentally called forth the egomaniacal gilgamesh, who brings along his majestic pride, troublesome attitude and awesome luck to the tohsaka household.

this one here is virtually available anywhere on the net. however, being a random person i am i just felt like u/l-ing one on a whim :3

overview : as of the game it is based upon [ fate/hollow ataraxia ] this dojin here centers upon an alternate event taking place within the mysterious 4 day loop over fuyuki city. shirou wakes up one morning only to realize that he had lost his memories on the awesome / epic night from before [ as hinted by rider >///> and the rest of the female casts ]. while being deeply intrigued of what he may have lost, [ nice ] caren came barging into the scene, 'offering' her help to unveil the mystery of both shirou's memory loss and the mysterious 4 days loop while at the same time enjoying her usual sadistic teasing over the rest of the character [ most notably, rin tohsaka ]

threat level : absolutely SFW, unless you were the kind who gets easily provoked over dirty / naughty jokes :3

it's been one and a half year since creativity has put a huge block upon my head. prob'ly in desperate attempt to gain buffer time in between projects, but still that won't be stopping me from progressing any further on all those project i currently had in tow. and despite how slow the creative tap went atm that won't be enough to stop me from advancing :3

random babbling is random.

i prefer to keep on ranting on how suck my creative life were during the blockade, however that instead will only waste my precious d/l time for i had a lot more better stuff to lurk and leech rather than spending like 5-6 hrs typing nonsenses.

lessee what i have waiting in store for me atm, aah... zero no tsukaima -princess no rondo- ep. 04 nice-

speaking of which, the entire anime franchise for zeron [ as how i prefer to shorten it since it sounds cuter :3 ] may not be epic yet still it often succeeds in garnering [ or shall i say, tempting ] my attention [ perhaps all thanks to 1. the massive fanservice, though i really did loathe heavy incorporation of such stuff in modern titles whatever and 2. rie kugimiya. no need to elaborate more since some of ye may've already learnt the awesomeness of her lol ]. no matter how sadistic them reviews the franchise might get still ima be having the entire episode run for all 2 [ naw 3 ] seasons somewhere in the corner of my room.
